About the Story

Mary J was a woman that grew up during the Great Depression years. She refused to be just another echo or imitator of someone else wondering in the wilderness of life. She had an intense desire to reach her God-given potential as an entrepreneur.

By eleven years old, she had already decided to be a store owner. She felt this was her birthright as an American citizen. Although losing both parents during her childhood in the 1930s, she went on to be part of a thriving business community.
