Although some scenes and characters have been fictionalize for dramatic purposes, this book is based on a true story. Mary J was a woman that grew up during the Great Depression years. She refused to be just another echo or imitator of someone else wondering in the wilderness of life. She had an intense desire to reach her God-given potential as an entrepreneur. By eleven years old, she had already decided to be a store owner. She felt this was her birthright as an American citizen. She did more than just entertained the thought; she acted upon it by the use of creative visualizations and affirmations. Although losing both parents during her childhood in the 1930s, she went on to be part of a thriving business community. Because of the bewildering impacts from the Great Depression years upon her community, she used her grocery store to help friends and neighbors fight their personal battles for survivor.
